Confirmed by Dell support : ThinOS 9 RDP client (AVD) does not leverage UDP…
This is absolutely flabbergasting
Hence the more choppy multimedia experience w/ ThinOS 9 than w/ ThinOS 8
I checked w/ Wireshark my ThinOS 9 test client (we’re still on ThinOS 8)
ThinOs 9.3.3099
AVD 2.5.2045
and it turns out that it does not leverage UDP… (Windows 10 host)
So I have the related the question: How to *enable* UDP w/ ThinOS 9…
If you have a problem also w/ fat clients, you have the option to turn UDP off on the server side (GPO)

Sticking to “classic mode”… although the main point is that we are sticking to ThinOS 8.6 because of other shortcomings.
BTW, still no custom icons either.
January 13, 2023 at 4:46 am in reply to: RDP Session disconnected when using Copy (Either CTRL-C or right-click / copy) #108011I Got a ThinOS preview release through the support and it seems fixed.
No RemoteFX support in ThinOS 9 + Microsoft AVD so far.
So, the Low level USB redirection for disks is not supported.
I miss it too.
Now using routinely release 2211 myself.
I encounter an annoying bug where I get disconnected w/o notice.
Mainly when pressing CTRL-C (see my other post) , but occured also during a Teams meeting.
I’ve been once in the impossibility to re-connect and I had to restart the Wyse (which is now painfully slow BTW)
December 16, 2022 at 5:07 am in reply to: RDP Session disconnected when using Copy (Either CTRL-C or right-click / copy) #107990Occured several times in a row during a Teams meeting (no CTRL-C involved)
Long life ThinOS 8…
The connection “Auto Connect” switch does the job in my case.
We never login to the Wyse.
Using ThinOS 9 there is now an “anonymous” login (that we see when switching off the Wyse. There is now an additional option “sign off from anonymous”).
Yes, ignore the broker section and go to Session settings / RDP & AVD session settings and add a RDP Direct connection “collection” (wich has nothing to do with a collection but is a connection)

Excuse multiple post, I finallyfound the WordFence blocks ” RemoteEFFIX” word
– Compression : optimized to use less memory
– Disable H264 / AVC 444
