I may not be much help since we haven’t upgraded past 9.1.329 yet but I had some trouble originally getting this same device to “default” as the primary audio device. It would always show up but I didn’t have much control over it either so wondering if this might help you.
Mind you, we are in a Citrix VDI environment as well.
We had to explicitly define the Playback Device as “Dell AC511 USB SoundBar”, minus quotes. After this, Windows session only acknowledged a single playback device and all audio controls passed through.
Hope this helps in your scenario. Cheers!
I know this isn’t helpful but I can testify it does work with other platforms.
On-prem, WMS 3.1
ThinOS 9.1
Citrix XenDesktop 7.15 LTSR VDI w/ Workspace enabled
I hope this gets resolved for you as I understand the importance.
Any new news on this or is there a bug tracking number to follow? Thanks!
I figured, I picked the entire ini reference guide apart. However, the anonymous browser should work. It would only be a way for users to access the self service portal. From there, the user could reset using security questions, terminate that session, and hopefully be ready to log in again with their refreshed credentials. I was just spitballing some ideas since we are limited by funding but I think this should work out nicely. Thank you for the feedback!
Best,
SethI forgot to add our TC models.
Dell Wsye 3040 – ThinOS 8.5
config is just set up for basic citrix storefront auth, nothing special
Looks like I’ve come to the right place. I looked everywhere to disable this feature. Glad to know I’m not crazy 🙂 . If any of you happen to know what version this gets fixed in, please post.
Thank You!
