    We are ESXi 5.1
    View Horizon 5.3.2
    V-Center 5.5

Older DL 380 G5’s… no OS on the hosts.

I have brought in the Samsung, LG, Wyse P25 and the D10 and they all meet our needs. Now… it is all about the money.

We shall see… sure will have a good deal on V10L’s for anybody interested, new and used.

How many students concurrently and what’s your budget?

I run around 600 units, NEVER that many concurrently but that is how many deployed.

I just got a P25 from Dell to try out and I am pretty impressed so far… had to tell it where the connection server was due to older WYSE WDM software but BAM… smooth streaming A/V!!!

I am shooting for next years budget… haven’t sprung the whole thing on the CBO yet, fingers crossed

At the moment I would take a look at the T10D or the D10D.
I think T10D should fit but if performance is not enough than take the D10D.
Although this could change until next year 😉

I guess, when you talk about video, you mean Multimedia support like watching videos, animations, etc.
This will work but not very fast as the processor in the V10 is not the fastest.
Of course it will depend on the videos properties like frame rate or size.
But you will never get a full screen HD video run smooth.

    Thanks CG

I am going to begin looking at new TC or Zero clients to replace the ones we have in a year or so… any suggestions? We only have two elementary’s and one middle school so it isn’t like they are anything complex… I think a very good video experience is important though.

These components are part of the TCX suite.
Typically in a View based Windows 7 environement you do not need this at all.

But should they be added to the Parent image? I have them added, and so far so good but you know VM… always looking for another performance tuning trick.
