Hi ThinkThin,
thanks for the reply. We already escalated this to Wyse and are awaiting their response.
Weird thing is when multiple clients get disconnected, some JetDirect devices also lose their network….
Anyway we will await what Wyse has to say.
Running WTOS 6.2.0.8 btw.
From the manual:
The option parameter TimeZoneName is the display name
sending to ICA/RDP session like “Eastern Standard Timeâ€. If the
time zone enables the daylight saving, the option parameter
DayLightName should be like “Eastern Daylight Timeâ€, otherwise it
should be same as TimeZoneName. The TimeZoneName should
be exactly same as the value list in the table in 6.13.1 appended
by “Standard Timeâ€, the DayLightName should be exactly same
as the value list in the table in 6.12.1 appendedSo it appears you need to comfigure:
TimeZone='GMT - 05:00'
ManualOverride=yes
Daylight=yes
Start=030209
End=110209
TimeZoneName="Eastern Standard Time"
DayLightName="Eastern Daylight Time"
No news, I havent bothered to contact Wyse as of yet. We are trying to get a G90 demo model for testing. We will see if this one has the same issue. If the G90 has the same issue as the V50L, that would imply we are having a problem with our Citrix environment. So I am going to test that first 🙂
And, if the G90 works, we will probably just buy those terminals. Because our users want to have something that ‘looks like a PC’… I know it’s silly…..
As for the write-protected USB key, I’ll have to test that but I have no V50L available right now.
well, we have only wyse linux clients that can use external CD Roms, so…
And we do not have this issue when using USB sticks on the same client, only the cdrom has this issue.
hi ConfGen,
thanks for the reply! I will contact them and see if there is a fix for it.
Meanwhile I thought it might be of interest to mention this:
we do have Microsoft Office FileConvertor 2007 installed, for upward compatibility with Office 2007 (we run 2003). And we had to create a policy to re-associate the Office extensions (.doc, .xls and .ppt) back to their original programs. Otherwise the convertor creates an Office 2007 document (docx, xlxs, pptx). Is it possible this has anything to do with the issues we see?Although, while typing, I am thinking this might be the problem with office but it doesn’t explain the executables from running…..
Oh and we had this on a different of Wyse Linux aswell, need to check that out next monday can’t do that now (as I am obviously not at work now) 😉
