The Internet Connection Sharing approach is a good idea. I’ll give that a try since I guess there is really nothing to configure (i.e. screw up).

Yes, I’m using a packet sniffer. I don’t see any naks or icmps…nothing. It is as if the offer from the server goes into a black hole.

Will also try to get the thing to boot somenthing useful from a USB stick.
