We have managed to load Symantec on the R90L (2G Flash /1G RAM).
You have to change the RAM Drive to 99Meg.
Use a memory stick and change your environment variables to point to the memorystick
Install Symantec
Enable Write Filter.
Add the following exclusion in Write filter ( for program and sig updates)

c:program filesSymantec

I have seen the same issues on my side. I have a 512k DSL line between my XENApp server and the branch ThinOS terminal. When viewing a webpage with flash, I saw that the ica bandwidth runs constantly at 512k, while the flash plays, so the terminal becomes almost unusable. It has something to do with the way ThinOS trying to update the screen. If you use the Linux (V6), Linux (V7) and XPe terminals, you should not see this issue.
