Try to upgrade to CE 5.0 build 573, this worked for me. Wyse tech support posted it here.

A couple of items to check:
-Be sure to static the IP, install DHCP and define scope, and then install WSI all while the cross-over cable is attached to a thin client w/ an active NIC? This is important for binding the NIC to the IP address and so on.
-It’s always best to uninstall WSI and try again, this usually resolves any connectivity issues.
-Make sure all firewall services are disabled and DEP (if applicable) is only set to protect Windows system files.

Did changing from static to dynamic then back to static work for you?
You might try and contact Wyse Customer Support and request to add release/renew as an ehancement for future versions.
