Hello,
I need to do an Update on my WYSE Thin Clients (Model Tx0).
I assume for Tx0 I need the T10D file for ThinOS.
When I start the Thin Client it is looking for a wnos file called DOVE_boot.
Why is that and where can I get the most recent version?
It is currently on version 8.1_031 and I want to update to version 8.6 which is available in the Downloads section but as a T10D wnos file not DOVE_Boot. Renaming the file doesn’t work either (it was worth a try though).
I would be glad if you could help me to get it working for this model, it worked flawlessly with a WYSE 3040.

July 10, 2019 at 3:24 pm #50260@ConfGen is there any chance you have the ThinOS files for version 8.4.105 for the models Tx0 (T10 – DOVE_boot) and Cx0 (C10 – C10_wnos)?
A certain version at 8.5 and everything above is known to cause issues in our company.
I still have trouble with 8.6 right now, 8.4.105 is the version that works flawlessly for the other models.

November 9, 2019 at 6:01 pm #51191Our T10Ds (ThinOS 8.0_210) are driving me crazy … what a messed up download section at Dell. What a hell of documentation.
What I tried so far:
- Using USB Imaging Tool, but T10D won’t boot from the USB key. Instructions say that I’ll have to enter the Thin Client’s BIOS to enable USB boot. It does not open when pressing the Del key at power up. I’m unsure if the T10D has a BIOS at all.
- Installed Wyse Management Suite 1.4 on one of our servers, with firewall allowing access to its https and MQTT ports and with proper SSL certificate installed, so that Chrome won’t complain about certificate errors when accessing WMS’s web UI from within our network. Entering the proper URLs for CCM and MQTT server in the CCM section and hitting “Validate Key” will only give me “SSL FATAL ALERT”. We have a cheap RapidSSL certificate, root CA is DigiCert. For whatever reason, this is not accepted by our current ThinOS.
Last resort solution could be FTP. After all the hours I spent for the above solutions … does it make sense to look into this? Is there something special to take into account?
Any comment appreciated.
November 14, 2019 at 1:37 pm #51206T10D is ARM based and therefore not able to boot from USB.
8.0_x firmware is too old to connect to WMS.Only and best way is to use FTP server to update the client.
If you need help with setting this up, check the “First Steps” PDF in the Downloads.CG
November 24, 2019 at 5:58 pm #51276That was very helpful, thanks for pointing me there. The FTP update method finally worked out for our T10Ds. Went to 8.0_512 and then straight to 8.6_027 (did not recognise that 8.6_206 became available in the meantime). With 8.6, the T10Ds now also connect to WMS. Thanks again!
Do you know if there is also a BIOS update available for T10D? If so, does it make sense to update as well?

March 4, 2021 at 10:43 am #87742Hi,
I have plenty of 3010 devices running on XENITH, is it possible to upgrade them to WTOS 8.6_xxx?
Thank you
