WTOS 7 on S-10? Wyse says “No”

    Despite what the front page story says about WTOS, Wyse is telling me that WTOS 7 is not going to be available for the S-10. They will be happy, of course, to quote me a great price on replacements for my S-10s.

    Does anyone have information to the contrary?

    WTOS 7.0.0.x is available for S10 (we have it up and running just not ready yet for production). the only disadvance is you are not able to downgrade it back to 6.x once it’s upgraded to WTOS 7.0.x

    Think it’s just a miscommunication it’s definitely available for S10

    One more thing to mention is, that the flash of the S10 is not big enough. Therefore the full WTOS 7 firmware is downloaded each time the unit boots up. But as this is only 4MB it isn’t really an issue.

    BTW, do you know the name who told you that it is not supported? Can you send me via PM?
