    Hello,

I’ve been using WDM 5.7.1 (will upgrade soon to 5.7.2) with T50 thinclients.

From what I’ve read, WMS will soon replace WDM. Is that it?

Can I already use current WMS with my T50 clients?

    Great site.

    Thanks

WDM and WMS is co-exist for some time.
There will be no upgrade path but only a migration wizard to move from WDM to WMS.

And yes, you can manage T50 with WMS. Try yourself and get a trial account at http://www.wysemanagementsuite.com

    Hey CG,

    Thanks for your quick response.

I’m checking out WMS and it seems good. We were “forced” to move from a 4.9.1 enterprise to 5.7 workgroup. Administration was nonexistent before I got there. And I’ve never worked with thinclients. Learning a lot.

But anyway, I’ll post some questions I have in the appropriate forum (imaging issue, repository issue, 802.1.x stuff etc..)

    Thank you

I see that WMS v1.1 is now available and has migration path from WDM v5.7.2.

Does anyone know if WDM Enterprise license transfer to WMS Pro license or do we have to buy all over again?

    Thanks

WMS 1.1 is currently NOT released and no longer available.
Currently there in no way to transfer the WDM licenses but this is in the works.

So now that WMS 1.1 is now properly released is there a way to transfer our existing WDM enterprise license to WMS or is this still being worked on?

How are people migrating currently, are the just buying new licenses?

    Thanks

Yes, it is. Contact your Dell sales rep. He can open a ticket for you to transfer the license and maintenance.
