I’m wew to Wyse thin clients and WDM and am having an issue.
Three new x90le mobile TC, Wyse wdm 4.7.1 installed on a windows xp 1gb computer. TC sometimes report and communicate with WDM and other times nothing. I have tried subnet, tcp/ip search, stopping&starting hagent and no luck. Makes no sense why it starts working and then stops.
Anything I should check or try? I did the hserver.dll test from the client and got a date response.
March 17, 2009 at 10:07 am #15428Are you connecting your X90 via wireless or wired connection? Or both?
If you have just rebooted your WDM server and then reboot the X units, do they check in then?CG

Wired tried with dhcp and static ip address. I have rebooted the server and machines and no luck. Then sometimes out of the blue it starts working for a bit. Have done reinstalls multiple times to see if that would help.
March 18, 2009 at 1:40 pm #15444Can you disable wireless and test again?
Which build are you running on X90? Which Hagent?CG

March 19, 2009 at 1:36 pm #15457I think I have figured it out, it’s either installing the sonicwall vpn client or Dameware that causes the lose of communications with wdm
March 19, 2009 at 2:55 pm #15462You never mentioned you had installed additional software.
I bet it is the Firewall.CG
March 19, 2009 at 3:32 pm #15464The firewall? I haven’t installed a firewall much less turned on the windows firewall.
March 19, 2009 at 7:40 pm #15471Sorry, my bad. It was Sonicwall not Firewall.
Could you figure out what it was?CG
