WDM 4.8 Installs ok but MMC is blank.

    I installed Wyse 4.8 on a server. The install went ok but when I launch the MMC it’s blank?

    It display’s the folder Console Root / WyseDeviceManager but everything else is blank. I tried un-installing re-installing but with no success.

    If I right click and run wizard off the WyseDeviceManager node and choose anything like Report Wizard I get.

    “Your user permissions do not allow you to perform the requested operation. If you need access to this feature, please see your WDM administrator”

    I am an admin on the box and enterprise admin on the domain.

    Also If I try to right click “Start Service Log” I get an error.

    “WDM Software”
    “Unable to determine GUI HTTP port. MMC will now terminate. nGUIHTTPPortActual=0”

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Problem has been resolved.

    FYI

    My DB was on a remote SQL server, the install wouldn’t allow me to install a new DB so I was always trying to manualy install the DB then install WDM with an existing remote DB.

    I found that the Rapport4 database files need to reside on the remote DB in C:Program FilesWyseWDMdatabase mdf and ldf files in order for the install to work correctly.

    I couldn’t find this info anywhere so incase anyone else runs into this issue this could potentially fix it. I believe it might be an environment issue that we have here. So this might not be standard behaviour.
