I have installed WDM 4.7, setup WDM and IIS but when I try to Discover devices I get the following error message:

HTTP discovery attempt failed. Unable to contact Web service

When i check IIS all services are running. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

Do you get an error message when you open the console? Something like “HServer is not running”

I did see that the Hservice was not started even though it was set to automatic. I started the service and when I trie to discover I now get the following message:

Unable to initiate discovery. HTTP return Code:-10 SNMP Return Code -10.

How long does it take until the HServer service is stopped again?
It is OK that this service is stopped. it is an initialization service only.

That’s much to long. If everything is OK, it should only last 3-5 seconds. Every second more indcates an issue with the HServer.

I would recommend to deinstall WDM AND IIS. Then install IIS followed by WDM again.
