Hi All,
Have recently upgraded WDM from 4.5.3 to 4.7.2, and there seems to be an issue with powering on 1200’s. If attempts are made to remotely power on the terminal within about two minutes of it turning off, it seems to be fine, otherwise it refuses to work. Our f/w version is 4.4.079i. Am wondering if anyone else is having similar issues, or if it is just me?
Thanks,
Gavin
Have you tried sending a WOL packet from outside WDM?
It may be device specific timeout. Something like a BIOS powersave feature that’s killing the NIC after ~2 minutes.
you should be able to use wol.exe {google} to test outside of WDM
Just select port 16962 and the MAC. If it fails outside of WDM, then its not an issue with your WDM server. You might see if you can find a newer FW for the 1200 also. Its EOL’d but might be something newer than what you are running which could affect this.
If it works outside WDM, you might also look at changing the WOL settings in WDM preferences. Modifying the retry count or WOL timeout could help.
