Hey everyone-
Been banging my head against the wall on this and couldn’t find any other relevant threads.
I have a WDM 4.7.2 server that, when I deploy a package to a device, 1 of 2 things happens:
1. The package distro status moves to “In-Progress” but nothing actually occurs at the client
2. The package distro does not move past “Scheduled”The lock user screen does not appear on the device.
Here is what I have done so far:
Confirmed FTP and HTTP in good working order
Checked that anonymous connections are allowed via HTTP and changed the default IUSER password back to the default
Checked that the default user for the FTP site can log in
Checked FTP logs – no indication of attempts to connect
Rebooted clients
Put clients on a network with no firewall restrictions
No errors in HTTPERR.log
Run Diagnostic Report with the result of no failures
Checked scheduling preferences and made sure that Time-Bound rollout is enabled
Ensured that I can reboot clients and view/update device informationThis happened all of a sudden late last week while I was testing a new package for deployment. I had run the package 20-30 times with minor changes between each.
Any ideas??

May 21, 2011 at 4:27 pm #20525So, after a client reboot the unit is checking is fine?
CGMay 23, 2011 at 5:37 pm #20534Yes, it checks in just fine, we can send remote commands, etc, etc, but cannot deploy packages.
May 23, 2011 at 9:41 pm #20538Have you thought about upgrading your WDM server to the latest version 4.8.5?

June 3, 2011 at 3:57 pm #20587We had some similar issue with our old WDM server and it turned out to be some corrupted entry in one of the database tables. I believe it was the “Job” table – which should be empty once there are no scheduled jobs in the “Scheduled Packages” list.
From memory we had to clear down that table, then reboot the server after which it began working again.
That was on WDM 4.5.3 but I don’t believe the database structure has changed that much. Obviously be wary about manually altering the database and backup/snapshot first if you can 🙂
