    Hi,
    I’ve been using V50’s as a thin client connection to Citrix Presentation Server 4 with no problems. Now I’m trying to connect to the same servers from a different subnet over the WAN. I setup an ftp site at the new location and the V50 reads the wlx.ini ok but won’t connect to an ICA session. RDP works fine, ping and trace routes all respond correctly. I have Cisco 871 routers between the locations.

    Has anybody encountered this? Any help would be appreciated

    cheers,
    Adrian

    Hi,

    try adding
    BrowserIP=192.168.10.17
    to your wlx.ini ICA connection string.
    Also play around with adding PnliteServer=192.168.10.17 as a seperate line.

    Cheers

    ConfGen, adding the BrowserIP parameter did the job. I don’t really understand why, I’m guessing it’s a Linux thing?
    Anyway, thanks a lot!

    Hi aidox,

    Actually its a Citrix thing, the browser IP makes the ICA client connect to the XML service on the Citrix server via http. Without this statement the client tries the old style broadcast for a Citrix server. This is why it worked on the same LAN segment but failed across the WAN.

    Anyway, thought I would throw in some trivia – glad it works now!!!
