Hi All,
I’m new to the forum and have done some searching but I’ve not seen this asked before.
I’m testing a V10L, FW is 6.3.0_00.01 and we have the TCX license for USB redirection.
I’ve been loaned a USB wireless mouse.
When I plug it in, the Wyse recognises that there’s a USB device there (in events) but that’s all.
Even after connecting to a virtual desktop the mouse doesn’t work.
Is this just unsupported of have I missed something?
A standard USB mouse is picked up and works correctly as does the Wyse supplied PS/2 mouse.
TIA
Rob.
I am working myself with different Logitech wireless mice and all work perfectly.
TCX USB will not redirect a mouse as the mouse will directly claimed by the OS itself and then passed to the session. No need for TCX USB.
Same applies to keyboards, printer or smartcard reader.
What brand of mouse are you trying? What message do you get in the eventlog?
CG
It’s a Microsoft Explorer Mouse.
I didn’t think the TCX stuff would have any impact. Just noted that even connected to a VDI the behaviour didn’t change.
The only messages I see in the Wyse Event log are:
TCX USB: Local Device(0x045e,0x0745,0x03,0x01,0x01)
USB: Found a new device “HID” on port 2
The last line is repeated 3 times.
I’ve tried it on both a front and rear USB.
So it sees the USB device, but can’t seem to use it.
So, I’m guessing this kind of device is just no compatible with the Wyse V10L.
Is there a Hardware List of supported KB and Mouse devices?
There is a list on Wyse.com but it is not very up to date.
I have tested a bunch of Logitech KB/mouse combos successfully.
Check the Peripheral Thread for a complete list.
