Anyone else having trouble obtaining the old firmware images for older models like C10LE and 3100’s? I called Dell and spent 2 hours on the phone, and the final answer I got was an “I’ll email you the download links later”, and still have not received the links a day later. They even did a WebEx to show me firmware in my Digital Locker from our support contract, but as I pointed out, nothing that old is in Digital Locker, and I even showed them the Dell documentation that says upgrade to 8.0_512 before proceeding any further. So frustrating!

This is really frustrating. Generally the Dell support should be able to hand this out.
Where in the world are you located?

I’m on hold with Dell right now seeking the same thing.  I have  a fleet of C10LEs running 7.1 and want to get them up to 8.3, but of course need 8.0_512 to get there.  If you have any luck, please let me know, and I will do the same.

    —EDIT—

I got the same answer, they needed to check internally and reply via email.

It seems I don’t have a way to PM you on this forum, but I was finally able to get a hold of higher up support personnel at Dell who could provide the older firmware. I even made the recommendation to them that this belongs on the Digital Locker, since it is required for upgrades.

Good news.  I hope I am able to get the same result.  You can contact me offline via Gmail, if you like.  My username is the same as on this forum.

After looping in the Dell service lead you mentioned, I was able to get the firmware I was seeking.  Thanks a lot!

Can you share the Dell contact with me also. I’m also looking to upgrade my clients, but do not see the 8.0_512 version in the Digital Locker. My username is my yahoo email email address.

Remember, do NOT share any firmware or I have to ban you from this forum.
