Tagged: "5070" "ThinOS with PCoIP"
Hi There,
We recently bought the Dell Wyse 5070 Thin Clients with ThisOS 8.6_013 together with Teradici cards to be able to provide a PCoIP solution to the customer. Do I need to upgrade the OS from ThinOS to ThinOS with PCoIP and if so, how do I do it?
I tried doing it but keep on getting validation key error 233.
Thank You
You would need a 5070 ThinOS including PCoIP. This cannot be added after purchase in the field.
Even better would have been a 5030.

Hi CG, Thanks for the input. We wanted the 5030 Zero Clients but were told they are not being produced anymore and the 5070 is the replacement, although the 5070 is a Thin Client.
That’s wrong. 5030 is still being produced.

So there is absolutely no way to wipe the 5070 and load the PCoIP enabled Wyse ThinOS? Or is that a hardware change as well?
There is no way.
This is a software and legal issue. Hardware would be identical.

Thanks for the info CG, this helps me a lot.
