Hi everybody,
we are considering adding strong authentication to our current
infrastructure (V10L clients authenticating with sign-on=yes against two
Citrix PS 4.5 PnliteServer).
A first question is: are user name & password transmitted in clear text
since the default port of the PnliteServer is the TCP80?Anyway, have you ever tried Smart Card solutions similar to Vasco’s
DIGIPASS 860 or Aladdin’s eToken NG–OTP?
They are Smart Card incorporated into USB Token based Smart Card reader.Do you know if they coul work with WTOS?
Thank you very much.

password are not send in clear type. They are encrypted.
Aladin e-Token are working perfectly with XenApp authentication. Digipass not.CG

What kind of encryption? Basic?
Thank you for the feedback about e-Token! Why Digipass does not work? Is there a standard to which e-Token is compliant and Digipass not?
Many many thanks!

You need the driver set locally on the OS and Digipass is not integrated but Aladin is.

Thank you again for being so kind.
Do you know if Wyse could likely add drivers to WTOS creating custom images?
Is it a service provided to the customers? Here in Italy do I have to contact Wyse Italy or Wyse Worldwide?Do you know of any System Integrator near north of Italy wich offers consulting about Wyse Terminals?
Cheers!

October 30, 2010 at 7:22 am #19255I got to know many technical aspects through all your conversation. I think username in a smart card utility can be remain intact and encryption of password is needed for authentication purpose, as I am heading towards my task of applying this in my office.
