Hi all,
Does anyone know of a quick way to enable ICA “Session Reliability” for all apps pulled from a PNLite server? I know it can be done by adding
sessionreliability=yes
to a “Connect” statement, but I need it to apply to all apps. Here’s my wnos.ini:
Autoload=1
VNCPrompt=0
VncPassword=”MGAMMHBENEADNFBF” Encrypt=yes
SignOn=Yes LastUsername=yes
RapportDisable=yes
AdminMode=yes Admin-Username=MEAFMNABMK Admin-Password=MIAEMPADNFAEMEBD
MaxVNCD=2
DomainList=AVANCEGROUP
Seamless=yes
ScreenSaver=10 Type=1 LockTerminal=1
Privilege=Low HidePPP=yes HideConnectionManager=yes
Reconnect=No
Hide_IP=1
FormURL=form.bmp
PnliteServer=pnagent.company.co.uk:8888
Timeserver=admaster.company.co.uk Timeformat=”24-hour format” Dateformat=dd/mm/yyyy
TimeZone=’Greenwich Mean Time’ ManualOverride=yes Daylight=yes Start=030507 End=100507 TimeZoneName=”GMT Standard Time” DayLightName=”GMT Daylight Time”
Desktop=desktop.jpg Layout=center
DeskColor=”022 058 127″
DisableDomain=yes
VNCPrompt=no
ICABrowsing=http
FixLicense=clean
Inactive=120
RapportDisable=yes
Service=thinprint disable=yes
ThinPrintEnable=NoAnd yes, I am using WTOS 6.2 🙂
TIA,Kenny
September 17, 2008 at 7:04 am #13906You are right. Currently this is a connection-only parameter.
In my opinion this has to be a global parameter to be useful.
Good reason to open a call at Wyse and ask for that.
Let’s push them from different sides to get this feature 😉CG
September 17, 2008 at 7:56 am #13910Thanks for replying. We’ve been asking for stuff from Wyse for literally years, and very occasionally I’ll get a call from our account manager asking if everything’s OK, but apart from that it’s a one way street. I’m sure you’ll have more luck than I do, so I’ll keep an eye out for v6.3.09 appearing 🙂
September 17, 2008 at 9:18 am #13911I’ve talked to a friend about that who is working for Wyse and he told me that this feature is already included in 6.2.012.
Parameter is SessionConfig=ICA SessionReliability=yesCG
September 17, 2008 at 9:21 am #13912Brilliant! Any idea/hint when 6.2.012 will be available? We have a maintenance contract.
September 17, 2008 at 9:31 am #13913Then you can just call Wyse and they will give it you for free.
Next maintenance release is planned for end of september.CG
September 18, 2008 at 8:16 am #13917Got it! Installed and (apparently) working perfectly. Thanks for your help, I wouldn’t have known to ask Wyse otherwise (not had much luck asking for stuff in the past).
September 18, 2008 at 3:33 pm #13918Glad I could help.
