    Hello –

Im new to the Forum, and wanted to thank everyone for the great wealth of information I have read on here so far … But I need to ask a question –

Should I be able to flash mu 9150se (with 512) using an S90 image via the USB Imager? (I believe the S90 will work on the 9150, right?)

When I do the USB Imager, It sits at Par1.RAW, Evaluating for a LONG time – Over an hour, so I went to bed – When I woke up it appeared to be done but on reboot I get an NT Boot error that ir cannot find the Config file … So I am tying again while I am at work …

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

A very explicit ‘step by step’ explanation of what you did would be very helpful. In particular, what version USB tool you used. There are two non-Wyse ones and one genuine Wyse one. As far as i can figure out, only the later non-Wyse USB tool is usable because it has the necessaries to update the 9150 BIOS so that it supposedly boots from USB sticks. Mine doesn’t & I can only presume because it doesn’t like the USB sticks (generic one plus a Lexar jumpdrive. It would be helpful to know exactly what one you used as these things are apparently extremely fussy about what USB sticks they are prepared to communicate with.

Finally got it to work. Sandisk Cruzer USB stick did the job. The S90 firmware is nice as its got SP2 mit IE7 & Media Player 11

Only other ‘gotcha’ I discovered is the two different versions of the non-Wyse USB imaging tool. Earlier 2006 one isn’t friendly (locked me out of BIOS completely) but the 2009 one works fine.
