S30 distorted views in Office

    Hi, we have implemented S30’s to our users and have noticed a few issues that have came from it.

    Basically when users are in word, they have a lot of shadows on the screen, almost like a slow screen refresh they do go, but its like pink on some of them

    Also when users are using Excel 2007, if they scroll down, it keeps an image of some lines on the screen, you get this back by scrolling up or down again and it basically overwrites the image.

    Anyone ever had this before and is this pretty normal, and how can i fix it

    What firmware do you have installed on your S30? Are you using RDP or ICA? Which client version (addon build)?

    Not sure about the firmware, how do we find this out , and we use ICA with the client being version 11.000.

    Could try a different monitor setting. Try changing the refresh rate and colour depth.

    We had an issue with Outlook display missing some bits off the screen on an older firmware that we ran on 3125se devices which was fixed until new firware was available by reducing the refresh rate.

    Open Control Panel-System. There you can find the build version (something like CE5 build 581 or similar).
    ICA Client version can be found under Control Panel-Addons. Please post the build number here.

    is it just the .bin file that you use to upgrade the ICA, i have put it on our FTP site, but didn’t know whether u use the .exe file or the .bin

    Go to Control Panel – Addons and add a new addon by pointing to the folder where the .bin and params.ini reside.
    Maybe a good idea to take a brief look in the CE Admin Guide 😉

    have tried upgrading it and am still getting the issue with lines on it, not sure what else to try
