Hey guys
I have a bit of an issue with the S10 unit not being able to play sound. I have enabled the Sound option on his user session and in the preference section, however, every time i try to adjust the sound (which is currently on mute) within the VDI , it just reverts back to mute. I looked at the group policy as well thinking it maybe a problem along those lines, unfortunately with no result. I have tested the speakers on physical machines and it works. I will post my wnos.ini file

VncPrompt=No Accept=June 2, 2008 at 7:28 am #13136Hi,
Have a look at the properties of the RDP connection on the S10, is sound enabled? If it is check the VDI session to see if sound is allowed to be mapped. Quick test to rule out the S10 is launch a session from your PC to test,

i think it may be the VDI. I created a terminal session from my computer and yeah no sound. Like i stated before, i continuously try to adjust the volume on the VDI, but it just returns back to mute. Is there something im missing or something i should be looking for?
Thanks
DShaunJune 3, 2008 at 5:30 am #13142No never mind my stupidity, our server doesnt have a sound card. My bad. Thanks for the help though
June 3, 2008 at 8:01 am #13143Hi,
The server does not need a sound card, the RDP channel creates the audio via a virtual channel.
Check the properties of the group policy on the VDI session and make sure sound is enabled. My bet is the policy is set for disabled,
Cheers,

Im not sure where exactly in the GP im supposed to go to enable sound. The Windows Audio service is running and i have enabled ‘Allow audio redirection’. Where exactly am i going?
Thanks
