    Hi.

    Could some one help. we can’t seem to get the notice message to display

    We created a txt file “notice.txt” in the same directory as winos.ini

    and added the following to the winos.ini file.

    NoticeFile=notice.txt Resizable=yes

    I have also checked the transfers on the FTP and I can’t see any of the clients trying to download the notice file and there are no errors in the event log on the S10.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    are you using SigOn=yes in your wnos.ini? Otherwise a notice file isn’t shown.

    Hi, it was set to No, but once we changed it to yes, we were prompted to login to the S10, it is possible to set a default user e.g guest and to bypass / automatically login? As we will control access via the RDP session.

    Thanks

    This is possible although no trivial.

    Your wnos.ini could look like this:

    SignOn=yes
    DefaultUser=myuser
    Password=hispassword

    But, as WTOS does not have any local users you will have to create a subfolder beneath ftproot/wyse/wnos called /ini. Then put a textfile in there named myuser.ini.
    The password of the user has to be in the first line. You can generate the encrypted password using ConfGen (General 3 tab).

    Give a try and play around with it a bit. I really do not know if a simple notice file is worth going this way, but it depends on your needs, of course
