hey ppl
i was wondering if its possible to use usb printers on the wyse winterm s10 models. All the users are currently on a rdp connection to their virtual image. I was hoping that users with local usb printers are able to use them so they dnt go to waste. Is there are way to do enable this?
Thanks
Hi,
What back end are you using? Which printer modles?
If its Citrix or Terminal Server “some” USB printers will work. You will have to test them. (there is a supported paripheral list on wyse.com, its out of date as I have fand others not on the list work)
If you are using a VDI desktop to XP Pro you are in luck, Wyse will release TCX USB redirection soon and nearly every USB printer should work – well all the ones I have tried anyway 😉

Hi,
to get a USB printer work in an RDP session just create a local printer using LPT2 which is obviously not available on a S10. Keep in mind to name the printer like it is named on your Terminal Server.
Now you should see the printer in the session. If not, TT could be right – not every printer is working.
Cheers
