Hello
If I am in the wrong section please forgive my newbie-ness 🙂
Ok We seems to have about 10 Wyse WinTerm 5440XL’s laying around that my very stubborn manager wants them back into a working situation…
In short we want to use these as time clock stations via RDP into Windows.
A few months ago I got lucky and selected one that I could actually get into however the last 6 I have tried to reset…will not reset.
The only info I can find on resetting these tells me to either press and hold “g” while powering up or press and hold “shift” and “g”.
Heck if I can find out how to at least get into a Admin console I would be happy with that then I can do what I need.
Basically when this little guy boots up it gives me an error about connecting to what seems to be a hard coded IP address. Many moons ago they use to use these to connect to an Oracle server for time keeping.
Can anyone help me get into these?
I just hope that the original Admins didnt re-write the running config and blow away the admin console?
The 1st one I got into actually lets me setup connections via a GUI based screen.
When I try to access this it continually tries to connect to the old server.
Sorry I am so scattered here but the manager needs this by Friday and he really does not want to spend money.
Thanks All
OUCH…..45 views and no replaies….does not look good for the home team.
