Our company is using 150 S10 terminals on our remote locations via WAN connections varying from 256KB up to 2MB bandwidth.
We publish the users applications on Citrix 4.0 with the Program Neighborhood.
Simple Office applications are working fine but graphical demanding interfaces like IE7 and Adobe Reader 8 are not working that well. The graphical display is slow and sometimes completely unreadable.
What kind of modifications besides upgrading existing WAN connections can i make to optimize the graphical display?
We are currently firmware version WTOSv6.2.0_8this how our wnos.ini looks like:

How does a PC perform in your locations? Does it show better or similar performance?
If similar or at least nearly similar, the issue is the bandwidth as high grafic app need more bandwidth than other, of course.CG
November 4, 2008 at 8:24 am #14278PC’s do perform better on our locations.
November 4, 2008 at 9:41 am #14280Of course a PC performs better. It has a dedicated GPU and a better processor. But is the performance much better than with the Thin Client?
2 things to check/try:
– ask your local dealer to let you test a V10L instead of S10. This has a much better overall performance than S10 and is only slightly more expensive
– check if enabling “Low bandwidth” for the session changes anythingCG
November 10, 2008 at 3:23 pm #14361We ordered a test version of the VL10L.
I did a test on a WAN location with a PC and a S10 and i discoverd that the ICA client on the PC medium compresses JPEG images as configured on the Speedscreen Browser Acceleration tab in our Citrix Farm Properties and the S10 does not.
Is the Enable Speedscreen Browser Acceleration option and the compres JPEG feature supported in the S10?November 10, 2008 at 3:38 pm #14363Short answer: No
November 11, 2008 at 9:36 am #14378Short and clear 🙂
Can you tell me if it is supported in other wyse clients?
November 11, 2008 at 10:20 am #14380Don’t know for sure with CE and Linux but it is true for XPe.
