Hi I have just purchased a Blazer conversion kit to take some 3125SSE units down to the 1125SE equivalent.

Accordingly to the Wyse website, the latest firmware for the 1125SE is 4.4.079.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to install version 5.x on this unit?

If so are there any significant changes over the 4.x version (like ICA version) and whether this is a chargable purchase?

    Thanks.

    Hi Iceburn,

The conversion kit comes with Blazer 4x code however if you have just purchased the conversion kit you should contact your re-seller or Wyse as I believe you are entitled to the latest version 5.2. There is a support agreement for upgrades but as you just brought it you should get it, its just not in the standard kit.

So whats new in 5.2 from version 4?

    – Heaps of bug fixes
    – Improved performance for PS4
    – Workspace control with PNagent
    – Map Microsoft print servers to the client
    – Support for Citrix Secure Gateway
    – Smart cards
    – Support for USB memory disks

And more so I would ask for the 5.2.034 code,

    Cheers,
    -TT

Thanks TT I will get a support call in.

By the way, I can just say what a great website you have.

I have been searching for something like this for ages!

    😀

Thanks for the support, I always wanted to try and run a little web site and this is my first go – I only wish I had more time to work on it!

There is only a fraction of what I would like to write about – VDI, Streaming etc. Ahh well, maybe one day…
