Hi All,
I’m having an annoying problem where our Wyse units have multiple network cards (2 in V90s and 2 in 941Gs) but occasionally, Wyse is checking these in with the wrong MAC address. This means that the devices can’t be imaged by PXE which is a problem!
We don’t use the onboard LAN connection, but if you disable it in BIOS, it’ll stop the devices from being able to be imaged in WDM. I’ve tried disabling the onboard adapter in Windows with varying success.
Any tips/trips?
Thanks,
Kieran
Hi,
The issue is the check in wit WDM of the first NIC is stored in the DB and it gets confused when the MAC changes to the new NIC.
If the device has the on board NIC unplugged delete it from WDM and let it boot with the new NIC and it should be OK.
If you need to image it plug in the old on board NIC and remove the new one, delete it from WDM and you should be able to image,
Cheers,
-TT
