    Hi,
In my company we currently have Wyse thin clients with 7.x firmware using XenApp 6.x. Users don’t log in to the terminals (SignOn=no). Some of them have AD account while some don’t.

On their desktop, warehouse staff have currently two icons / connections (CONNECT=ICA):

    1. Shared published desktop (XenApp 6.0 / Windows Server 2008R2). After a user clicks on the desktop icon, he is prompted for AD credentials to log in to published desktop.
    2. Published web browser with some Intranet websites which don’t require authentication or logging in and anybody in the company can access it.

The big advantage of the above setup is the when someone who uses a published desktop locks his session, other users can still access published web browser (by minimising published desktop) and switch between them. Both resources have their own tabs on the taskbar.

Is it possible to achieve exactly the same in XenApp 7.7 considering I have access to 8.1_027 firmware? I need to give my users access to published desktop (authenticated) and published web browser (not authenticated) at the same time with the possibility to switch between them.

I was playing with StoreFront for unauthenticated users and 8.1_027 firmware but I was not able to provide access to both: published desktop (authenticated) and published web browsers (unauthenticated) AT THE SAME TIME.

    Thank you

As XA 7 does not have the option to directly access any published app anymore, I do not see a way to achieve this.

    Thanks CG.

I am looking for a workaround to the lack of direct connections in XD/XD 7.x which in my case includes anonymous StoreFront.

I anonymous StoreFront working on my thin clients but what I need is the ability for users to switch between applications from two (or more ) different StoreFronts.

In other words: on the same device I need to have one user logged to StoreFront1 (authenticated) and another user to StoreFront2 (anonymous) in such way that they can switch between them e.g. with tabs on taskbar (SysMode=classic) or launchpad (SysMode=VDI).

If it is not clear let me know:)

That’s clear but not possible. You can only either use anonymous login or use your credentials.

Thanks CG. I will then supply a feature request to Wyse/Dell. Regards.
