    Hi,

We have around 300 thin clients in our company (3150,S30 and V30L).
100 thin clients need a smart card to logon to some websites.
Is there a supported external USB-smartcard reader for those thin clients? I tried a Omnicard 3121 and a Dell keyboard with a internal smartcard reader. 🙁

    Hi,

very strange as the Omnikey is supported.
    Here is a list:
Activ Card smart card reader USB interface.
Omnikey CardMan 3121 smart card reader USB interface.
SCR331 smart card reader USB interface.
Cherry keyboard with integrated smart card reader.

Which build have you tested? Is the PC/SC addon installed?

Be aware that only PC/SC is supported. So if your webapp needs complete access to the reader this wil not work. PC/SC is mainly used for Windows authentication but also with some other apps.

    That was the trick!
Now i have another problem. When i logon in Citrix and start SafeSign (to show what card is inserted), insert the card and i show the cardnumber.
Remove the card, wait a minutes, re-insert the card and i says “unknown card”. There’s no action from the cardreader.
The same actions on a PC gives no problems. You can remove en insert as many card you like and Safesign show the right cardnumber.
    I tried a V30L(538.18) and V30L(559), different cardreaders, ICA9 & 10, same problem. RDP giver no problems.
    Safesign runs on the Citrix-server

    Greatings,
    IH

Yes, there is a supported external USB-smart card reader for those thin clients. And one of them is the Cherry keyboard with integrated smart card reader which is a user friendly smart card reader. Stay on!
