Actually, I cannot install any OS or official firmware too.

    1. I bought this wyse 5070 last month, it is thinOS version.

firstly I open up the machine and put the m.2 ssd(120gb)

and I booted on, and used, it’s not comfortable for me.

    2. So I want to install ubuntu.

I made usb, and put on, boot, hit the F2 key

but there are no option for USB boot order.

    so I searched a lot

    for this thread(https://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/04/sln290487/dell-wyse-d-class-unable-to-boot-from-usb-port)

    said <hit the F12 and input “Fireport”>

but I didnt find any of password input section

    3. so I unset the SSD, and put in my other PC

and install ubuntu in that ssd, pull of again, put in wyse again

    and boot up.

    nothing happen.

I search all of bios option, but there are no other option for my ssd or usb or etc.

    how can I do this?

Go into BIOS and enable boot from USB.

When you then reboot hit F12 and you will be presented with the boot options screen.

    So… where’s that option?

    I already searched in bios, as I mentioned…. 🙁

first I watched “boot preference” option, that is in second paragraph in the list

there are “HD, partition 4” option and “NIC IPv4”, “NIC IPv6”, but no USB.

and secondly I look foward to “secure boot”, “boot management”, “USB preference” etc

    but never found…..

In BIOS check System Configuration > USB Configuration

Also check the System Configuration > Drives that SATA-0 is checked.

    I solved this problem

it’s not about any of bios option or software matter.

    1. USB is important.

I changed my usb to sandisk ultra 64gb and succeed.

any of my other usb eg kingston, sony etc was not worked.

    2. SSD is important too.

I can not fixed this problem yet, but it’s not a big deal.

it’s impossible to choose for the boot partition on the ssd

so I formatted sdcard that was originally thinOS installed,

and overwrite ubuntu boot partition to that.

and now SSD was recognized as ext4 file partition, aka / drive.

Now, my final challenge is network setup

    it seems there’s no driver….
