Hello
Do you have any information if it will be available in September or later ?
September 6, 2018 at 8:49 pm #47637is this fixed in 8.5.017?
one of our gateways crashed for the first time the other day and im wondering if it is related… never seen it fault before. we had one thinclient running 8.5.017
September 7, 2018 at 10:08 am #47646It is not in 8.5_017 and I do not have any new updates.
Have you created a TechDirect ticket with Dell on this already?CG
September 7, 2018 at 10:26 am #47650Hi all,
I have some new information. Please make sure you have installed KB4343884.
Quote;
“Addresses an issue that causes users to disconnect from a remote session when the Remote Desktop Gateway service stops working.”Ref: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4343884/windows-10-update-kb4343884
I installed this update on a test environment two days ago.
Running 8.5_017 on a WYSE 3040. To early to really confirm, but no crash after KB4343884 update on gateways.
I also had a Dell support ticket opened, it works with a custom build that made it possible to disable Websocket that was introduced in 8.5 and later. According to Dell support this will be an option in HF4 scheduled for September/October.

September 7, 2018 at 10:59 am #47651johhen – thanks for information. We´re using gateway on WIN 2016, have you tryied that update on that OS ?
For that HF4, you mean HF for WMS ?
September 7, 2018 at 11:01 am #47652It is a update for Windows 2016 (Applies to: Windows 10, version 1607, Windows Server 2016 )
HF4 is for ThinOS, not WMS.
September 7, 2018 at 11:36 am #47653Hey Guys.
Several weeks ago I got an firmware update 8.5_18. Since then I got no more crashes on the gatewayserver. Hope that helps anyone.
September 10, 2018 at 4:10 pm #47657Do you have websockets disabled on 8.5_18?
September 11, 2018 at 6:59 am #47661Don´t think so. Just installed the firmware and it works. Actually don´t know where to disable websockets via wms.
October 26, 2018 at 12:58 pm #48026Hey gents, any word on updates to this? I’m experiencing the same symptoms. RDS 2016 with wyse 3010’s on 8.5_B012 & 8.5_B017.
Issue is not evident on 8.4_B009.
I’ve got WMS1.2 running on prem, but it doesnt support f/w 8.4!! (although it can be configured to work)
I’m stuck in a dilemma – do I roll back to WMS1.1 to enable support for 8.4 f/w? or do I wait it out until this new f/w is released & stick with WMS1.2??
October 26, 2018 at 1:04 pm #48027Try using 8.5_0018 and update your Gateway Server with latest Microsoft updates, then it should work – I´ve installed 8.5_0018 on 5010 Wyse Clients and no more disconnects or TS gateway crashes.
October 26, 2018 at 1:16 pm #48028Hi,
I can confirm that it is working since Windows updates installed on Gateway server(s). https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4343884

October 26, 2018 at 1:50 pm #48029It looks like the patch has already been applied to the RDS Gateway. It’s likely this has been installed after I have done any more testing, so I’ll now have to confirm the issue is still there.
I don’t seem to have the 8.5_0018 f/w available to me? (yes I still have maintenance until 2020)
The latest f/w I can see for my 3010’s is OS_Web_v8.5_B017_3010_T10_ENG.zip released on 07/17/2018. Any reason for this?
October 26, 2018 at 1:55 pm #480308.5._018 is not released yet as far as I know. Not available for me either.
So either ITslave misspelled or he is using a Beta.
October 26, 2018 at 1:56 pm #48031I´m using the beta – got it from a german Dell Technician
