    Hi

One of the IT guys has gone and purchased some V10L Wyse terminals. We have previously used S30 terminals and manage these with Wyse Device Manager and VNC.

I have updated Wyse Device Manager to 4.5.3 (was on 4.5.0) and it now recognises these terminals however VNC does not work.

I understand these V10L terminals run WTOS does this include VNC server like the CE.Net devices? Unfortunately as these are plugged into the network in a remote location I can not simply boot it and have a look.

    Thanks

    Mark

Yes, they have a VNC server running but normaly WTOS based units read some wnos.ini file while booting to get their configuration. This file is on some FTP server und ftprootwnos or ftprootwysewnos or similar.
Check if MaxVNCD=1 or higher is part of this file. Otherwise VNC could not work.

ConfGen i set teh DHCP option 161 up, and put in the ftp server address.

WDM shows the ftp server being picked up as:

    ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/WNOS

I thourght this was odd as i was expecting the path to be:

    ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/WYSE/WNOS

Anyway i put the wnos.ini file in both locations, file has the below settings. But when rebooting i am still unable to use VNC:-(

Anonymous access is configured on the ftp server. I have requested that they send a terminal to me but would like to get this issue resolved for future terminals with this OS.
