I am wondering if anyone has played with this new variable?
HideWlanScan—Use this option to disable WIFI scan in lockdown mode. The default
value is no.
One of the issues we are having with our ThinOS devices, is that for some reason the SSID search box pops up and nurses randomly pick one… This usually leads to a service call. I’m hoping that this will help prevent that…but it’s difficult to test.
I guess I could wheel one out into the hospital parking lot…but it’s easier to ask you guys about real-world examples.
Does anyone have experience with this new setting?
John
Hi Twilley,
HideWlanScan will not help you here as it does not hide the WLAN selection window.
