    Hello,

    when I setup the Bios settings on WMS to replace bios settings on all Wyse 5010 TCs (Password, Disable boot from USB), I don’t see any changes when I check the TCs Bios. did I miss something?

    Go to Devices tab, select the client and click on “More Actions”. Now select “Sync BIOS Admin Password”.

    it doesn’t work CG, it’s not taking any of the Bios settings from WMS. not even when synching the password, it doesn’t change. I’m using FW 8.6_303

    The policy you are trying to use is for 3040/5070/5470 units only as they have the Dell BIOS.
    If you want to configure older devices like the 5010 (sorry, did not recognize this in the first post) you would have to use the Advanced section with INI parameters.

    Thanks CG, do you have the two ini lines for password change and disable boot from USB?

    You can use my Configuration Generator for that.

    I used both ini parameters for both: Dell Bios and Legacy Wyse Bios:

    Device=CMOS AutoPower=yes BootFromUSB=no CurrentPassword=Password1 NewPassword=Password2

    Device=DellCmos CurrentPassword=”Password1″ NewPassword=”Password2″ ACRecovery=PowerOn USBBootSupport=no

    If I use the Legacy Wyse Bios I get :

    CMOS: failed to set BIOS password

    Have you synced the BIOS password before? Use the Devices tab to do so.
