    All,

I’m trying to tweak a test S10 unit and got quite far with the exception of the confgen tool. I can run it and open .ini files but when I click generate, it crashes saying it can’t find part of the path?

No option to attach a screenshot so here’s the error text.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    Thanks.[/img]

    Wow, what an overwhelming response.

Sarcasm aside, I was able to run this on a standard XP system. For some unknown reason, it’s not working on my 2003 server.

First of all, you cannot expect that someone answers your questions within a few hours.

You are running confgen from drive e:, correct? Do you have a drive C:? Are you allowed to write to drive c:?

    Hi oderus,

    Glad you found a workaround!

ConfGEN as you may have noticed is a free tool, as is all the input everyone puts into this site so be gentle with us – as shocking as it is occasionally life gets in the way of being a free roaming Monkey 😀

Hell, who know I may even get around to writing something for the front page of the site again one day again!

Thanks for the detailed bug report, the more of these that people post the better ConfGEN will be,

    Cheers,
    -TT
