    We are doing some testing with the 8.6_206  on 5010/5040 units.   We are on Storefront v 7.15 cu 5, and xendesktop 7.15.     Since upgrading, for some or other odd reason the Citrix receiver on the device is now adding every application and desktop that has been published for a specific user ID.  If I login to a machine with 8.6_013 for example this account will have only the 6 Icons it should see, but with FW _206 it has been seeing way more.   Citrix itself looks like the settings are correct, so I was wondering is there an .ini parameter that needs to be added with this upgrade?

    What’s wrong with showing all apps/desktops for the specific user?

    Hello,

    The thin client is displaying every icon the user has been assigned, where with older firmware, it would only display what icons were listed as mandatory in Citrix Studio.

    also as a quick add on, It’s not necessarily wrong, just not what our user community is used to, and it could cause confusion.

    If using Storefront mode, ThinOS will display ALL published apps/desktops in the start menu. If you mark those apps/desktops as your favorites, then they will be shown on the desktop.
    In classic mode, all icons will be shown on the desktop directly. You can influence this by using
    SessionConfig=ICA OnDesktop=yes/no/all/desktops/applications
    in your INI file.

    First, Thank you for the response and the good info about Ondesktop.  Unfortunately, the business voted us down while on the transition to Storefront mode.  So we are in Classic mode still.  We did currently have the SessionConfig=ICA in our .ini  but were not using the OnDesktop=.   I started tooling around with Ondesktop= in our test environment and every aspect of the Ondesktop= worked on FW 8.6_013.     When I tested on FW 8.6_206 most of the options for Ondesktop= worked except for Ondesktop=no   it still showed every application. For us that’s the most important parameter. I have opened up a support ticket with Dell with my findings.    I will post back when I get a resolution or response.
