    Hey there,

yet another problem I encountered using WMS… I’m in the middle of migrating all WES devices from WDM to WMS. A lot of them are R90L7 Thin Clients running WES7. I know, quite old but (with WDM) they still work like a charm. I used WDA 14.3.0.66 to connect to WMS, registration worked within seconds and I can see the device in the WMS web console. However, I cannot change the host name of the device. The WMS log shows:

Admin initiated Change Host Name – Wxxxxxx, Reboot Immediately on WES00xxxxxxxx at 10/31/19 9:25:56 AM (Status: Successful )

The status says ‘successful’ but the device doesn’t reboot. And even after rebooting manually, the device still uses its ‘old’ name. Newer WES7 devices like D90D7 with the same WDA client seem to work though.

Is there any way to update the older devices so changes can be made via WMS?

Correction: The status says ‘successful’ and the device DOES reboot. Host name isn’t changed though.

Ok, forget it for now. I cannot even rename it from the Windows GUI. Seems to be a problem with the image… I’ll try to create a new one.
