In case anyone else is searching for this issue, I wanted to share my experience.
We just rolled out Horizon 7.6 with VMTools 10.3.5 on our Win7 & Win 10 pools.
We noticed that our Dell/Wyse 5040 devices running the updated ThinOS 8.6_013 code had the mouse cursor disappear when hovering over test fields. Instead of the cursor changing to the “I” when over a text field…it just vanishes.
We had to “dumb down” the WDDMDevAPIversion version to get it working again. In case anyone else needs this band-aid for your PCoIP sessions. Blast sessions were never effected.

– Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc.\VMware SVGA DevTap
– Create a DWORD with name WDDMDevAPIversion and set it to 1.
– Create key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\VMware, Inc.\VMware SVGA DevTap
