Hi 🙂
We have a 7020 (2014) Wyse Thin Client with ThinOS 8.6 with extreme lags using Windows Server 2012/2016 or Windows 7 / 10 (it’s equal which one, i just tried every machine). You can’t put a window from the right to the left side without some frame lags. Same in every application you try to use. While connecting to the Server/Clients via a different Windows 10 PC I have no problems and everything works fine.
I tried to switch every setting i could found to make it faster / better but nothing changed. Maybe you guys can help me.
wnos.ini:

January 11, 2019 at 12:30 pm #48801I bought another Wyse Thin Client (3040) now.. just for testing reasons. Same problem here. ThinOS 8.4 installed. Seems like there is any other problem why RDP connections always lag like hell. It’s all plugged to internal gbit network.. i do not really know why it lag so much.
When I try to connect to a Server via RDP from a casual PC there is no problem.
January 11, 2019 at 12:34 pm #48802It never worked. Neither with 8.0, 8.1, 8.4 or 8.6.
January 11, 2019 at 1:32 pm #48803Another post from me: Sorry for that. I found out that the wyse thin clients works flawless if they do not load the wnos.ini. After connecting to the terminal server manually everything works fine. It just lags when i try to connect after the clients loads the wnos.ini first.
Is there something wrong in posted wnos.ini?
January 14, 2019 at 11:02 am #48808From what you have posted, the wnos.ini looks fine.
I would cut down the wnos.ini and that add parameters line by line to verify if any parameter/line is having issues.CG
January 14, 2019 at 12:17 pm #48809I already tried to cut it down. But it still lags with an empty wnos.ini file. When I delete the wnos file and configure it manually everything works fine. I don’t know whats wrong with it.
I also tried a simplified version of my wnos.ini:
SignOn=no
CONNECT=RDP \
Host=192.168.32.215 \
Description=”rdp server” \
AutoConnect=yes \
Domainname=domain \
LocalCopy=noAlso lags. :/
February 6, 2019 at 3:28 am #49023I had the same issue upgrading T10 (3010), 3030 and 3040 (most notably on the T10) with both 8.5_020 and 8.6_013.
Reverting these to 8.5_017, with no changes to network or wnos.ini, the issues were resolved.
I jumped in the forums to make sure I wasn’t the only one hitting this issue.
