I am using a Dell Wyse AIO 5212 (Firmware: ThinOS vs. 8.3_012) to connect to a Windows 2012 R2 RDS server using the VMware View Client. The View connection server is running 7.1. I am able to connect to the server and get a desktop with no issues at all. When I go to sign out, the thin client gets stuck on the Windows sign out screen. I have not seen this behavior before. Is there a configuration setting I am missing in the .ini file? My thin clients all receive a .ini file for general configurations and then one based on their MAC address for specific connection settings.

This logout issue only occurs with the Wyse clients?
Any chance to update the firmware to the latest one 8.4_108?CG
October 10, 2017 at 3:03 pm #45379Correct, this issue occurs on the Wyse thin clients. When I connect using the view client on a windows operating system, I do not have this issue when signing out. I have just updated one device to 8.4_108 in my test lab and I still have the same issue.
October 10, 2017 at 5:23 pm #45383I found in the event logs on the server that the VMware Horizon View Logon Monitor service was causing the client to hang on the signing out screen. When I disabled the service on the RDS server, the issue stopped and the Wyse client logged out as expected. I am still wondering why this was only affecting the thin clients and not the clients running on a Windows OS.
