Hi everyone. I tried for several weeks the 3010 with ThinOs. The problem is 3010 has no flash memory, the next model which has flash memory is 3020 but that one use another OS called Xenith (or thinOS Lite) I’m looking some document to see the difference between the two OS.

    Not true.
The 3020 is available with ThinOS and ThinOS lite.
The difference between these two is only the RDP client.
ThinOS has RDP included. ThinOS lite is ICA (Citrix) only.

Oh, that’s perfect. I would like to have no restrictions to save the conf locally. I supossed that the 3020 is the best option for that. I need ThinOs because we work with Microsoft RDP.

    thanks!

I recently received a 3020 running WTOS as a loaner to test on my network. My plan was to have it work with our Microsoft Connection Broker; thankfully it works wonders.

When you say you want to save it locally, are you implying you want the Wyse to cache the .ini file? Maybe for redundancy purposes?

Yes, only for redundancy purposes, in case that the FTP server fails. Thanks for the info, i’m testing too the thin clients, we’re planning to move to thin client environment the 70% of our users.

    HI

I know this is an quite old thread ; but is it possible to have a 3020 zero client that was patched to be able to connect RDP ?

Call me crazy , but i was really sure to be able to connect to a RDP server before I did a factory reset.

If this is a ThinOS lite aka Xenith unit then the answer is no.
    Citrix only!
