what happens if you put the un-encoded password into the ini before loading it into confgen? when you’re done making changes and save that ini, does it the encode it for you correctly?
The documentation for 11 sp2 says
Old SP1 Image -> old/new SP1 Image
Install new addon, set ini settings, and then place the image in the root path.I figured since it said it required the new addon for SP1, there would be the addon available somewhere.
December 11, 2013 at 6:53 pm in reply to: RESOLVED: C50LE 11.1.031 VMWare View Blank Screen on Idle #24453I had the same exact problem myself
I had already had an issue with vmware view clients not letting a user choose their resolution to accommodate poor eye sight, so I have a secondary launch script that asks the preference beforehand, it stays active in the background for the entire session, and sets the desktop resolution back to the previous state on logout.
long story still going, I added in an xset -dpms in there when rdp launched, and hae xset +dpms in there for when it closes down. So for the entire run session of the connection, the thinclient will not turn off the screen.
My problem actually even went a little further, in that moving the mouse would not bring the screen back, once it went black, it never came back.
D50D in this case.
found I can uninstall the…oh, the name is escaping me now.
There is a package I can uninstall that will stop the dns requests, seemingly without affecting anything else.
This may seem like an over-simplistic solution, but can you have one master folder, and symbolic links, or shortcuts that contain all of the generic configurations you need?
I know on my ftp server I have one instance of this, and am building its replacement with this in mind. one copy of all the packages in a central location, with symbolic links where necessary and actual files containing data where necessary.
the T50s run a version of ubuntu right?
If it’s using network manager for it’s connection brokerage, it probably won’t attach to the hidden ssid manually, mine wouldn’t (suse linux)
See if you can get it un-hidden, or in a pinch, write a startup script that will start the network with that connection automatically.
I had luck doing it that way in the hidden environment, but it wasn’t able to then do package updates as needed as a downside.
yes I have. putting the addons directory in the sub directory meant for the addon seems to work well enough. I’ve also had some luck just mixing the two addons together in the same addon directory and listing each separatly in the directory file. what happens, is it will attempt to download both, and fail on the one it’s incompatible with.
It wasn’t great, but neither was 11.2.019
1.) 1 Gig
2.) yes X window, and Tiny Windows Manager…so nothing big.
3.) My setup currently would be a pain to copy that to a file and paste it, so I’m gonna write it out real quick, sloppy like./dev/sda1 ext3 961 900 13 99% /
/tmpfs tmpfs 441 0 441 0 /lib/init/rw
udev tmpfs 437 1 437 1% /dev
tmpfs tmpfs 441 1 441 1% /dev/shmthe reason the drive is so full, is that for my needs I have to run a windows NT virtual machine on the box so vmware workstation 7.1.6 is installed It’s tight, but it runs friggin great. (The vm is store on a usb drive, that was mostly a nightmare, I’ll tell you about it some time.)
I’ve installed Debian on an R50L.
I just used the minimal installation, and then installed packages as necessary.
I had issues getting DSL to boot, but vanilla debian minimal worked well.
I’ve had luck in the NewAddons field stopping at the Dash before the version. So for my configurations it would look like NewAddons=xset_no_blank
I’ve also noticed that the NewAddons line can be a little finicky. I’ve had some luck moving items around in order on the line and that helped.
It does install correctly if checked manually though?
also, your pictures are coming up the same for me, both showing the dhclient not checked.
since upgrading firmware to 11.2.30 and doing a regencode of our password, this problem has gone away.
so that’s great.
I had a more luck later on. Setup as figured, apparently it required a couple reboots.
For a time it appeared to fail when checking ini settings from the control panel, but it seems be ok after a couple of reboots.

11.2.019What version of the firmware are you applying this to?
Oh, and which hardware model?
Btw… Sorry I have no insight as to your actual problem…
In your ini I’m seeing the EnableSSH parameter.
Where in the documentation did you find this?
Are you having any problems with sshd starting? -
