Found out you also need to update the thin client, in my case a 5070, to firmware 8.6_412 (release July 2nd 2020) for RDS 2019 support:

– Supports the 5K resolution on U40 Monitor
– Supports the Bloomberg keyboard in a Horizon View Broker connection
– Added a new INI parameter for Teradici cloud access
– Added new system variables for Ethernet and Wireless MAC addresses
– Displays a warning message for anonymous user login to the FTP server
