Hello I’m fairly new to Wyse and I’m configuring V10L for VMware View.
I have a Windows Server 2003 FTP server
I’m Using Firmware 6.4.0_06
The FTP site is configured and working properly with ftproot/wnos/wnos.ini
If I manually enter the file server in the client, the system boots and connects to the broker just fine.
I’ve populated the DHCP scope with:
161 IP of FTP Server
162 /
184 anonymous
185 [email protected]
When booting from DHCP the client is trying to resolve wyseftpfcb4tc presumably because it can’t find the file server.
If I put the wyseftpfcb4tc host name into DNS it still doesn’t resolve unless I manually enter the DNS domain name in the client.
DHCP is exhibiting these strange behaviors:
File Server is populating with the IP of the Primary DNS server
WINS Server is populating with the IP of the Primary DNS server
DNS Domain name is not populating
So far I can’t get a completely hands-off configuration. I either need to manually enter the dns domain name or the file server IP in the client.
Any suggestions?
Which DHCP server are you using?
