XenApp 5 mmhook.dll seems to wreak havoc with Wyse terminals

Is anyone running XenApp 5 with ThinOS devices? I’ve run into a bit of a snag. Several Office 2007 apps either misbehave (open windows that are “off” of the physical display) or just crash outright.

Viewing the details of the crash, I see that “mmhook.dll” is involved. Googling mmhook.dll show lots of problems and a way to globally disable it (rename the DLL). That fixes the Wyse terminals, but then desktops accessing the XenApp farm via the web interface lose sane multmonitor support (clients with multiple monitors appear to be one huge display to the Citrix client).

When mmhook.dll is enabled, it seems to tell the application (in some cases) that the Wyse terminal is 4 times as large as it actually is. All I see on the the Wyse display is the bottom right quadrant of the application.

I suppose I can create seperate silos for my Wyse devices, but I really don’t want to deal with this overhead.

    What is Wyse TCX?

    I’m using XenApp 5 (server 2008 32 bit) and Wyse 1200 and S10 terminals.

    The Wyse TCX Suite http://www.wyse.com/products/software/tcx/index.asp
But as you do not know what it is, I guess you haven’t installed it.
