When we attempt to image our X90L using WDM ver 4.5.3 using a default image from Wyse it will reboot the machine, pxe boot fine, but then stop and say environment failure.
Any ideas?
thanx guysMay 2, 2008 at 10:13 pm #12877May 5, 2008 at 1:40 pm #12880We applied that patch already when we couldn’t get the X90’s to talk to our WDM at all. Are there any other patches I should be looking for?
May 5, 2008 at 1:51 pm #12881Here are my eror details in WDM:
Try 1:WISard-FAILURE-Environment-Security-Key-FailureMay 5, 2008 at 2:10 pm #12882Hi,
there are no other fixes for X90L needed. The message indicates that although you have a X90L it does not report that value to the imaging system WDM is using.
You should contact Wyse and ask there for help, as they have the option to change this. This is nothing you or we can do.
Or you are not using a X90L image.
What image are you using? Try to pull an image. Is that working? Can you push that image back?Regards
CGMay 5, 2008 at 2:39 pm #12885I was able to pull an image. I was not wanting to push it right back though because I would be unable to tell if it worked or not, as it would be the same image.. I will contact Wyse and see what happens.
i am using this image:
90x90_S569_512May 5, 2008 at 3:18 pm #12886The image you are using is for X90 and not X90L.
This cannot work!CG
May 5, 2008 at 3:20 pm #12887Sorry that was a mis post. we are using the 9×92 image.
argh now it is blue screening and the “roll to boot” option isn’t working… I have lost all contact with the device…..
May 5, 2008 at 3:28 pm #12888I cannot see a X90L image on the Wyse site at all?
Why is “roll to boot” not working?May 5, 2008 at 3:36 pm #12889here is the page for the x90L image: http://wyse.com/serviceandsupport/support/dlOraFW.asp?which=93&model=X90L%20/%20X90LE(Windows%20XPe)
The computer is blue screening. When i attempt to deploy the image, it will try to PXE boot and get an IP, but then not try to install the image, it just goes back to trying to boot windows.
May 5, 2008 at 3:40 pm #12890Okay i am passed the PXE boot issue. I am trying to deploy the image now, i will keep you guys posted.
ThanksMay 5, 2008 at 3:44 pm #12891now it says “FAILURE (OR NO ARCHIVE)” on the Wyse device during the image process and hangs there. The server still shows an “in-progress” status.
May 5, 2008 at 4:07 pm #12892dont ask me how, but it all works now.
I simply got the roll to boot working and deployed the proper image and it worked fine, even though it didnt work so many times, it basically just started working…
Thanks for all your help guys, this site is very helpful and has saved my life a couple of times now!May 5, 2008 at 6:38 pm #12893Good job.

May 6, 2008 at 2:17 pm #12900well it works about 25% of the time. I have to attempt to image everything four or five times before it works, and sometimes it doesn’t work at all, it will just say environment failure on the device and keep retrying but never finish.
any ideas on this one?? -
