    Hey Guys,

We are currently on 4.8.5 Windows 2003 and looking to install v4.9.1 on a new 2008 server. We have got over more than 300 packages under 4.8.5.

Does anyone have any best practice document on how to migrate the database, settings, packages etc. from 4.8.5 to 4.9.1 – 2003 to 2008?

    Thanks.

Do you really want to upgrade the server and WDM?
This is not possible as you are currently running on 2003, which is 32bit and 2008R2 would be 64bit.

I would recommend to install a brand new server with the same name and IP based on 2008R2.
Then install WDM 4.9.1 with all hotfixes on it.
Finally you can use the WDMQuery tool to export all packages and reimport then on the new server.

    Thanks CG.

Quick question – Is there a way to import an image from USB (extracted from Wyse) to the WDM console?

    Thanks.
